Many times it is necessary to create a well produced demonstration recording (demo) of one or more songs. There are two reasons why you would need a demo.
a) To present original music to publishers and/or
other artists.
b) To send to Pastors and Music Directors when
booking concerts, to allow them to hear you and your music
A demo is a promotional give-away piece, not intended to produce income from sales. Most demos for bookings contain around three songs showing a variety of styles
A Demo can be anything from a simple piano/vocal
recording to a fully produced track suitable for an album project. Your
budget and needs will determine the type of recording necessary. The
important thing to remember is while it is an investment in your music
career, this is a give-away piece. Only spend what you can afford to spend.
Unlike a demo recording, which is typically a promotional give-away piece, a broadcast quality recording is your finished product ready for radio-play, manufacture, sale and distribution.
Your Broadcast quality recording is a fully produced product ready for public
release.
